Good buy
I hate to make this public but I had carpets that had not been cleaned properly in nearly 10 years. Yes I know......... however it was a choice between new carpets or this little machine. I thought I would give it a go and I can honestly say I am stunned at how lovely the carpets have come up - the red wine stain has gone and the pile has raised so much my other half is now complaining he is finding the doors hard to open. There was a preverse pleasure in the dirty water that I threw away and I can honestly say I am very impressed and very pleased with the purchase. The 4 stars? well only one thing I don't like is no attachment for the stairs so this is either left or made a bit difficult. Other than that for the price which is what I was after you can't beat this machine.

Oh the satisfaction!
OMG - what a fantastic purchase! My Bissell Quickwash just arrived and I couldn't wait to try it out. We have a lounge carpet that is well past it. It hasn't been professionally cleaned in like 10 years (I hated the inconvenience of having it soaking wet for 3-4 days when someone came in to do it) and despite the scrubbing by hand with every carpet soap on the market, it was constantly in a bad state - never getting clean. I have been waiting to get a new carpet, but daily life has got in the way of making the purchase. Then I found this on Amazon and decided to give it a go. For the price, it couldn't be beat - I would probably spend more than the price of it on various carpet soaps throughout the year! I also reviewed this against the Vax models and thought I would give it a whirl.

Well, I assembled it - by slotting the pieces into place (so easy) & read the directions & got busy. Immediately saw a HUGE difference! In fact, I got a bit worried because I wondered if it was leaving soap marks behind because I saw these light coloured patches. In fact, upon inspection, those where the areas that were taken back to the natural carpet colour - a very light oatmeal instead of the normal dirty brown that we are used to seeing!

It's a bit like purchasing a Dyson vacuum - in that you get immense satisfaction from seeing the amount of dirt being lifted immediately. And while you don't actually see the filth being sucked up when you are working on the carpet (only soap/foam/water), you see it when you empty the tank! I did the worst patch of dirty carpet (a 6'x6' high traffic area) roughly 10 times & with each time the tank was emptied, a HUGE amount of dirt came up. All this when you "think" your carpets are clean. I dare say, my carpets will be back to a new-ish state in no time! And it has been addictive - when I see how clean they are after use in comparison to the areas I haven't touched yet. Results - absolutely!

The only thing I would suggest (and that I plan to try) is to get a separate spray bottle with the water & soap formula and spray some areas while I'm working on others. It will mean that you'll probably have to empty your tank sooner, but I can see why professionals do this while carpet cleaning.

I don't often get enthusiastic about cleaning products - but this is one great buy!

A small, simple, very effective machine!
I've already had two Bissell Turboheat cleaners which were really good. I used to find it a bit fiddly to take apart and clean. They are also rather cumbersome. It's a bit of problem when they breakdown, and they are out of their warranty, because you can't take it to be repaired as Bissell will not supply the parts. The only way you can get it repaired is by sending it back to Bissell which is very inconvenient, time consuming and expensive. I think that Bissell should seriously re-think this because it has certainly put me off buying one again.
However this Bissell cleaner is extremely well thought out. It is much smaller than it's counterparts so you can get into areas that you couldn't before. It is extremely easy to take apart and clean. It's very easy to use and very effective. I use it every day - sometimes twice a day. The most important thing is the price - it's very competitively priced. It comes with a two year warranty so if it breaks down after the two years (at £65ish) I will just buy a new. I would highly recommend it to anyone!
