Complicated, noisy but looks cool and works quite well
I'm not sure how I feel about my new microwave oven. It lacks the simplicity of my previous common-or-garden one but it does have the versatility to, for example, cook a frozen pizza very nicely. Programming it takes a while to learn, the menu being similar in some ways to that of, say, a mobile phone.
An irritating fan noise continues even when the heating has finished for quite some time. I'm not sure what this does but it is annoyingly noisy and if I haven't noticed the 'bleeps' it can fool me into thinking that it is still cooking. There is a handy timer function but it cancels after about 30 seconds if you don't start the timer, so I have to set it once my eggs are on the point of boiling.
Nevertheless, I find the oven easy to keep clean - after trying to cook a chicken uncovered in it this was a relief, and it is very handy for cooking snacks. I like the look of the thing, it isn't the usual dingey, creamy-white box, and it has a large capacity without taking up that much more worktop space, so mostly I'm happy with it.

Simple or as complex as you want it to be. Great microwave, great oven and great for pizza with that turntable they supply.
And How Fast? Very. I am over the moon. it is big enought for most large pizzas, big cassorole dishes and the big bird (nothing to do with seseme street) for defrosting.
Good quality and the silver one looks good in the kitchen.
So worth the money.

Brilliant
I thoroughly recommend this highly versatile microwave. This is a high quality product. The instructions aren't the best, but I found it helpful to make a separate hand written cribsheet until I was familiar with the functions. By the way, the function icons are displayed on the top of the inner door.
