Samsung optical drive
I was happy with my product and all looks to be in good working order.Being that i have a net book with no internal drive, i needed to get an external one.I would recommend this product to anyone in the same position.It looks gd, it's lightwieght and has a gd perforformance level.:)

Works, but not heavily tested yet.
It's small, it's shiny and it goes with my netbook. I did notice that it had to be kept flat - moving sideways it resulted in the dvd inside becoming un-clipped, and making a disturbing noise in the case. It didn't scratch though, and this has only happened once (I don't make a habit of waving it around).

However- i've only used this a few times, so it hasn't had a hard trial.

Stylish but just did not work for me.
Item arrived in good time. brand new slick shiny piano/gloss black with nero essentials software. Item is light and not particularly noisy

Burner was instantly recognised by my N110 samsung netbook via 2 usb port power supply. I was unble to get the bundled software to load on my netbook nor use preloaded Roxio buring software to create a disc on my desktop PC so this one was a dud for me.

2/5 for style over substance.
5/5 to amazon customer service. Return and refund was effortless.

I have bought a lot of Samsung gear in the past and this is my first dissapointment.
