Customer Reviews
An excellent book, very thoroughly presented.
The book explains how to use pawns at the end of the game to best effect. One wrong move can lead to a stalemate, whereas the right sequence of moves leads to a queened pawn, and probably a won game. Sometimes the right sequence of moves is far from intuative (for example, purposely blocking ones own pawn advance rather than advancing the pawn), but the book explains in clear detail what path to take.
After playing just a few games of chess one will no doubt be in the position of having to make decisions about exactly what pawn to move, or not move. This book explains clearly rules for determining what to do.
Well worth owning.
