Customer Reviews

Good but not complete4
The title and the back cover suggest that this covers all typical
pawn structures in chess. But unfortunately that is not true.
The focus is on closed (d4,d5) and semi-closed (d4,Nf6 2.c4,e6) type openings (Nimzo-Indian and Queens Indian). If you play openings like the sicilian, the french defence, the Ruy Lopez, or the King's Indian defence you probably will be disappointed,
and you should consider getting Marovic's book: "Dynamic pawn play" which covers both the Sicilian and the King's Indian well.
Still the topics that are discussed, are worked out very well.
Hence still 4 starts.
