| Genesis 1 in the Christian Bible explains how the Universe and the Earth were created. It also explains how life on Earth came into being. This is of course a faith position. There is no reason for anyone to believe it unless they believed in the Christian God. But the theory of evolution is just as much a faith position as is Christianity. The complexity of life, in particular, the recent developments in understanding how complex a single cell is, totally undermines both the evolution of life from absolutely nothing, and the creation of the entire Universe also from absolutely nothing!
