Synopsis
Warren, founding pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, shows how to lead a Purpose-Driven Life. This Miniature Edition will help readers understand God's amazing plans.

From the Back Cover
A Groundbreaking Manifesto on the Meaning of Life

The Purpose-Driven Life will help you understand why you are alive and God's amazing plan for you—both here and now, and for eternity. Rick Warren will guide you through a personal 40-day spiritual journey that will transform your answer to life's most important question: What on earth am I here for? Knowing God's purpose for creating you will reduce your stress, focus your energy, simplify your decisions, give meaning to your life, and, most importantly, prepare you for eternity.

This recording offers a blueprint for Christian living in the 21st century—a lifestyle based on God's eternal purposes, not cultural values. Using over 1,200 scriptural quotes and references, it challenges the conventional definitions of worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism. In the tradition of Oswald Chambers, Rick Warren offers distilled wisdom on the essence of what life is all about. Full of hope and challenge, The Purpose-Driven Life will be a classic treasured by generations to come.

Thumbs down!1
This book is an alleged christian book because it twists the scriptures and goes against what the word of God says. In my opinion this is not christian at all, but written from someone who I identify with cult practices. How come so many churches use this book when it goes against so many christian values and scriptures?? Do the christians that read this book read the bible? Apparently not, or they might find issues with it that I did. Also why does it make you sign a covenant at the start of the book? Me and my friends do not recommend this reading if you are serious about your walk with God. However if you are serious about your walk with God, the Holy Spirit will direct you into all truth.

The 'Purpose-Driven' franchise has been incredibly successful, in terms of shifting units. There has to be a reason it's done so well. Simple answer. It's a generic product. It's Bird's Eye Fish Fingers. It's Heinz Baked Beans. It's Chicken Tonight. The book jacket promises a lot and there are certainly a lot of excitable reviews of it, by all means give it as a gift to a new Christian but if you have any level of maturity you will be left frustrated.

Awesome5
This is one of the best books I have read in a long time, Rick Warren just says it as it is and makes so much sense. Every day's read was inspirational and so encouraging a must for every christian.
