Real Bread
The Sunday Times Book of Real Bread offers a fascinating glimpse at an early 1980's antecedent of the current Real Bread Campaign.
Well written with a useful history of bread, a look at the issues - many of which are sadly still with us - surrounding industrial production, interviews with some of those working towards and fighting for Real Bread values, and lots of recipes.
Though the coverage of sourdough is a bit iffy, still there is much in this book that is just as relevant to those who care about Real Bread today as when Michael Bateman and co wrote it back in 1982."Sunday Times" Book of Real Bread
