Summer the Holiday Fairy has got her work cut out. Jack Frost has moved to Rainspell Island for the summer and it's a very different place to when Rachel and Kirsty visited in the first series. Now there are no tinkling ice-cream vans or sailing boats. There's not even any sand on the beach! Jack Frost has taken it all to build his giant sandcastle. There are three special shells, that control the holiday atmosphere. Summer the Holiday Fairy needs Rachel and Kirsty's help to get them back.

Customer Reviews
The best stand-alone book in this massively popular series
The rainbow fairies are truly magic at helping early-reader girls find their wings and take-off with confidence. Wanting to find out what happened in the many stories in this series gave my daughter the drive to read paperback books all by herself and she hasn't looked back. All the dozens of these books (and I think we have almost 40) are very formulaic with straightforward text accompanied by pictures on every page, pretty fairies requiring help, and incredibly stupid green goblins being easily outwitted by two little girls to rescue some crucial talisman. I recommend this one in particular because it is neither in a set of seven (so doesn't require the immediate purchase of another 6) nor Christmas themed, and is slightly longer so better value for money. Or try Kylie the Carnival Fairy for the same reasons. Your daughter will love it.
