I have had several DV camcorders mainly lower to mid range. I decided to go for a 3CCD and after a lot of research I decided to buy this one. It is suitable for both amateur's and semi pro's. I am very pleased with the results and video footage is excellent. It is sturdy and chunky, but not to heavy with both USB2 & Firewire connection. It also has DVin which is a bonus. The controls are easy to use and it has a 3" lcd screen. The camcorder can also be mounted on a tripod. I was surprised at the quality of photo's which are good considering it's a camcorder. The only downfall is that it does not come with a SD multimedia card. Amazon delivery & service are excellent.

I got this because I wanted widescreen, however it is quite heavy and lacks some of the features found on my smaller gs70. However it has plenty of resolution detail and the OIS is great. The LCD is nice and big too.
