A magical book, for romantics and science-lovers alike!
On the Surface of Things sucks you in with its magnified photographs of surfaces, lurid blow-ups of everything from frost on glass to microelectrodes. science is the inspiration here. In a mixture of art and scientific investigation we get answers to questions such as "why does water form drops?", with photographs to show us in an astonishing way.
Amongst the numerous photos, one, time upon time, feels everything from awe at the exceptional beauty of quite everyday objects(seen in a far from everyday way), to wondering at the complexity of the world that surrounds us.
This is an incredible book for everyone! It does'nt matter if you're a science freak, or a romantic; whichever way, you'll find yourself burried deep in the enthraling pictures, and the accompanying explanations for hours on end.
