Customer Reviews

Ok but the campsites aren't all that special3
I bought this book for a 3-week camping trip around Europe and thought it would be perfect for finding some extra-special campsites in amazing locations. However, in the end we only ended up staying at one of the campsites in the book because when it came down to it, the campsites in Cool Camping simply aren't that special. I'm sure some of them are, but many of them looked quite average and we easily found several campsites that were just as special and not in the book.

When you read the information about each campsite, although they're all in nice enough locations - and some of them in amazing locations - not all the information is that positive, e.g. it says that the facilities in some sites aren't very good. In a book like this, I would expect to see campsites that are excellent in every way, so was a bit disappointed with this.

Spot on!5
These guys really know what they're talking about, and their recommendations are all spot on - as far as have experienced. A very valuable guide to finding exactly the sort of camping experience you're after.

For those of us who love to camp but prefer not to wake up wearing our tents5
The UK is not renowned for its perfect camping climate and i, for one, have been victim to its watery ways on more than one occasion. This new Cool Camping offering has provided me with the ultimate solution - the locations are BEAUTIFUL, it's still not going to break the bank, and, with the more reliable continental climate and the inclusion of many luxury camping options (teepees, yurts etc.)the chances of finding myself involuntarily engaged in a DIY mudbath have been lowered dramatically. Europe, i'm a-coming a-camping.
