Fascinating overview of the history of cars5
This book briefly covers a wide range of cars manufactured over the last century. It is a book as much about the business, and design of cars as it is the cars them selves. And that's what makes it so fascinating; to see cars launched to fail on the unforeseen shifts in public taste, or poor engines synched to great chassis, or the progression of models in a marque to then hit the super car, or the simple aim to mobilise a country produces a very basic domestic vehicle. A great read, and an education.

Very superficial1
This book is no more than a superficial flip. Woefully under researched. The real problem is probably attributable to the writer's age...in the sense of not having been around in the decades that produced great cars.Still, for the money, a fair starting point for someone interested in kowing more about the subject. But be warned. There's some totally forgettable domestic appliances on view here that do not merit a sentence, let alone a page.
