Brilliant!
I was slightly dubious as to how good this would really be when I saw it, but I went out on a limb and paid £60 for one. When it arrived I was impressed by the smart packaging and easy to use instructions, the device itself is light and small, just like a real cigarette, it feel natural in the mouth and the smoke is quite realistic!

I am very impressed with this device, it is great for smoking in places where you can't usually smoke, i.e. on planes, I was smoking this in business class and the cabin crew didn't mind at all, because it doesn't create any smelly cigarette smoke, and the other passengers were amazed at it.

This is, in my opinion, a breakthrough invention, well done Gamucci!

FANTASTIC INVENTION!!!!!!
I bought this after a colleague of mine found it on the internet and took the plunge to buy one - he offered to be the guinea pig if you like! Anyway, he smokes around 40 cigarettes a day so he was a little sceptical that it would offer the same experience as smoking a cigarette. However, within 2 days of using it, he has cut down on cigarettes and now only smokes about 10 a day. So I also bought one and have to say I am very impressed. It's just like smoking a real ciggie!! The refills which come with it are not that strong but they are OK while you get used to it and you can purchase stronger ones. Battery life is fine and one refill lasted me 3 days! I have 1 packet of real cigs left and once I have finished those, I won't buy any more and then I will really see if the Gamucci is a perfect alternative to cigs, without all the tar and other chemicals that come with it. One question though - how long will it be before someone tries to ban these?? Using the Gamucci does not contravene the smoking ban and it even comes with a little card that you can show to people should they start accusing you of breaking the law! In fact, my colleague has had many people asking him about it and are fascinated by it, so much so that they have ordered one too. The Gammuci is the best of any of the electronic cigs on the market! Price may seem a little steep but take into account how much money you will be saving when you give up real fags and only use the Gamucci!!

After many failed attempts with nicotine gum, I'd pretty much given up hope of ever stopping smoking, but I thought I'd give it one last try with one of these new "hot-nicotine delivery" devices. I'm very glad I did. I haven't smoked any cigarettes for 40 days now - the e-cig has completely taken the place of fags in my life. Of course it took a bit of will power as well, but after a week the temptation to return to tobacco had gone, and I don't think it'll be back. This thing is LOADS more effective than cold nicotine replacement methods, and if there turn out to be no serious health problems with using it, the government should hand them out to smokers for free - did you know that 90% of smokers who use gum and patches fail to quit? This little gizmo could well tip the balance at long last.

It's true this particular type isn't the cheapest on the market, and not necessarily the best either, but I'm expecting it to last - it's still as efficient as ever after 40 days of quite heavy use. You get two batteries, and each of them lasts for about 90 full-length puffs before needing a recharge. The red light flashes once after one full puff, so if you want a really big nicotine hit, you have to stop for a moment and then continue - but don't overdo it or you could burn your lips slightly, as it does get quite hot that way.

The nicotine cartridges are rather pricey compared to the cheap rollups I was smoking before, so I started refilling them myself with "e-liquid" (available on Amazon):

That's made it a lot more affordable and frankly I prefer the flavour and stronger "hit" of my own refills to the ready-made cartridges, though initially I was disappointed until I worked out how to fill them properly. If you go to the above link for e-liquid and read my review there, I've set down the method I use, which in my experience is critical to a satisfactory result. If you do it wrong, you'll just get a mouthful of yukky-tasting liquid and no "hit" at all. The claims for the number of cigarettes the e-liquid is equivalent to are probably hyped up by a factor of at least two, but it's still much cheaper than the ready-mades.

One small regret is that I wish I'd got an e-cigarette with a green light rather than a red one - it's nice to use this thing in public, but it looks so realistic that it invites suspicion and unwanted attention from pub landlords and other authorities. I can also do without the "smoke" effect for the same reason, though luckily the e-liquid doesn't produce so much of that. Maybe I'll make a little cover for the light, to avoid too much embarrassment.

Overall, I'm delighted with this product and would recommend it to anybody who can't stop smoking and is worried about what tobacco is doing to their health. I'd have given it 5 stars, but I suspect the cheaper e-cigs are just as good, and some of them may offer a green light option (MirageCigarettes on Ebay definitely do), though in the early stages of smoking cessation it might be wise to go for red, as it's said that the chances of quitting are better when the device is as close as possible to a real cigarette. Psychology is a strange thing.
