Customer Reviews

Easy, detailed but I need it faster and right to the point!4
This books gives you the basics of the basics of Javascript. Having read read more than a 100 pages of it, I'm still wondering why am I learning this. Why would I want to know how to write basic web pages in JavaScript?? If you're an ambitious web developer, you'll need something that goes right to the point - for me, I prefer stuff like ''this is how we do it'', I just need JS to add functionality and interactivity to my websites, which is supposed to be the main job of JS.

This book is a great reference to teach you every single comma and semicolon and what they're used to - if you're proficient in XHTML/CSS, you won't need this. I give it 4 stars as it's a very detailed book for newbies, and may for some establish a very solid understanding of JS scribble - but for me it's too much of superfluous details.

A great book for the beginner5
I am a total beginner myself to the Javascript language and I must say I found this book very useful and easy to follow.
It's written in as basic english as possible. It's been written in a logical order so you're best to read from beginning to end.
I've had this book for 2 days now and am already nearly half way through but do take your time. It just goes to show that I'm enjoying this book!
Overall, this book was indeed worth every penny!
