Customer Reviews

GOOD QUALITY BUT UNEXCITING 'EASY LISTENING'4
At first listening I was impressed by the quality of reproduction, correct tempi, lack of vocals, and rhythms being grouped. However, as a '10 dance dancer' I found that the music did not get my foot tapping and make me want to dance. In fact the slower tempi are quite sleep-inducing. On listening closer, the reason for this is that there is heavy use of strings and lack of brass instruments in most of the tracks. The ones with brass are a bit livelier. There is also a lack of "attack" to the music as if the players are drowsing off - mostly noticeable in the Latin American rhythms which need to be more staccato.

I am sure many people will disagree with me - and I am still happy to listen to this in the car.
