The Rough Guide to Mallorca & Menorca is your definitive handbook to two of the Mediterranean's most beautiful and popular islands. From the cosmopolitan street life of Palma to Menorca’s remote prehistoric ruins, the full-colour section introduces all of the islands’ highlights. For every town and region, there are comprehensive and opinionated listings of the best hotels, bars, restaurants and clubs, plus a new ‘Author Pick’ feature to highlight the very best options. The guide provides detailed route descriptions of hikes on both islands, plus tips on bird-watching and where to find the islands’ most secluded beaches. The Rough Guide to Mallorca & Menorca is like having a local friend plan your trip!

Customer Reviews
Very disappointed - Hardly updated
Am very disappointed with this as I used to own the 2001 guide but mislaid it. I assumed that this would have been updated but a lot hasn't - I visit Mallorca regularly - & it is now out of date. It now covers both Mallorca & Menorca & therefore less information. I also own the Time Out Guide & would recommend that one over this. Come on Rough Guides you're losing your touch!
Top quality guide book
I am astounded by the shamelessly negative reviews of this excellent guidebook. Phil Lee's witty, incisive and highly personal style is so refreshing, and his opinions on which places and attractions to see and which to avoid are invaluable and always hit the mark. I first used the 1996 version of this book on my first solo trip to Mallorca (in that summer)and although admittedly I can't comment on other reviewers' remarks about the Palma shop, restaurant and club scene, I can say that for the great outdoors, such as places on the island to visit and magnificent hikes (ALL the hikes in the book are fantastic and easy to follow)it is unbeatable. Definitely the best comprehensive guide book to Mallorca.
Take it with you !
An indespensible guide to Majorca. Believe what it says about where to go. We followed the instructions it gave to a number of quiet beaches, finding ourselves turning off very busy roads down all sorts of tracks to find ourselves on superb beaches. The info on each town was very accurate including where to park and where to avoid. A holiday to Majorca is not complete without this book.
