Customer Reviews
I wasn't sure at first but now I love this camera
I've had this camera for a few months now and carry it with me all the time. The auto setting gives you clear photos. As with most digital compacts dark or poorly lit views tend to be grainy. But if you take the time to really play around with the settings you will capture some impressive shots. I've taken some really good macro photos as well as some crisp landscapes. I bought 2700 rechargeable batteries and with these battery life is pretty good - don't even think about using normal batteries as you'll get very few shots. I also bought a USB 2.0 SD card reader for downloading photos to my PC. Both batteries and SD reader are available quite inexpensively from Amazon. This is a great wee camera for the price, you'd be hard-pressed to find an 8MP camera of similar capability which also has a 3x optical zoom function.
love this camera!
I've never been very good with digital cameras and never had one until last summer when we bought this. It is so easy to use and I now even have the courage to press the delete button! The only complaint I would have is that it gives you no real warning that the batteries are running low - it just flashes up low battery and then shuts off.
we've just upgraded to a laptop with Vista but have installed the disc that came with the camera and it downloaded straight away so no problems there.
The picture quality of this camera is brilliant and I would recommend it to anyone with a phobia of digital cameras!
Not bad
Bought this as my only other digital camera had 2MP which is poor these days so wanted one to take better pics. It is heavier than I had expected but relatively easy to use and comes with full instructions and a CD to install software on your PC. My only criticism so far is (and this may be my error) that I can't seem to manage to transfer the pics to my PC with the lead supplied, despite installing the software. I will have a look on the website to see if it is something to do with having Vista. In the meantime am having to put the card into my old camera and transferring them that way. Otherwise, I think it is a very nice camera and good value for the price.
