Very informative, very technical4
This book gives a fascinating insight into the 'engine' of Windows, giving low level details on the architecture of Windows down to kernel level. The authors are extremely knowledgeable in their subject matter and explain why many of the Windows components are designed the way they are. The only thing I would say is that this book is very technical, it's not aimed at people who want to learn how to use Windows, it's for people who have an interest in the low level architectural design of an OS.

THE BOOK for Wininternals knowledge5
They have done a very good book. Very sad to see that they don't have an electronic version of the book.

I have attended the onsite training (www.solsem.com) and this training together with the book will make you the 3 level support person that knows what he/she is taking about. Microsoft engineers themselves owns copies of this book.

Buy it, read it, Use widbg and understand the internals. EXCELLENT Book for tech info about the WinOS.

Excellent reference4
Book is an excellent reference on the details of Windows operating system. Only reason it loses a point is the lack of cd with e-book which is invaluable for finding small details that you have read, but can't remember where in the book. Other than this very small grumble, well worth the money
