    Good so far...4
Up and running in under 5 minutes. Just slotted the sim card into the dongle and plugged it into the usb port. Software self-installed (no cd needed) on my creaky old pentium 4 with Windows XP. Topping up using voucher (remember to convert the add-on!) is no problem. Basic 3g faster than my old adsl modem, gets even noticeably faster when catches the HSDPA signal. This is on the 3/5 bars signal power which is the norm for the 3 network in this area. I'd heard bad things about 3's signal (good when you start then deteriorates) but looks ok so far. The Amazon listing does not mention which model dongle it is, I received a Huawei E156G. Loses one star as it's a bit bulkier than I expected and Linux not listed as supported (though I understand works ok).

A waste of money and time.1
What can I say ?? An utterly useless product. Looks good, and well packed, just plug and play and you are up and running. Well sometimes, that depends on the wind and rain beleive it or not, and if you are near a window...
Slower than a week in the jail too. You tube videos just keep cutting out every three to four seconds, until you give in. I am told I live in a good reception area, I can only imagine how dire it must be in a poor rececption area. The speed is slower than a dial up connection at best, plus the drop out when you are working online. I have lost loads of work thanks to three. Security is a possible issue here too. This is the second time I have had to post this review also.
    My advice do not buy...
I have also used an 02, Vodafone dongle before and they were just as useless. It makes you wonder if mobile broadband is the next big rip off to be put on the british public.

    GREAT TECHNOLOGY BUT.........3 NETWORK2
Alot better than taking out a contract, as 3 are great at saying you took out a 24 month contact, irrespective if you took out an 12 or 18 month contract and then will put the onus on you to prove them wrong. The Dongle is good, but the network speed is very slow, even if you are in a good reception area. Good for on the move with the laptop, but not a replacement for Broadband gamers. Okay for the normal stuff like emails etc
The technology is good but the 3 network is pretty poor. I cant confirm about how these work on other network providers.

If you are on the move and need to access emails with a laptop - they are great, but I would consider a smart phone on another network.
