History of aviation
This is an enormous inside view of the history of aviation, not only the BAC 3-11. The whole politics on backing up Rolls Royce, the Airbus A300 launch and the demise of all relevant jet airliners production in the UK is deeply explained.
Indispensable for every fan of civil aviation.
An account of complementary, and adverse, politics in aviation.
The BAC Three-Eleven
An exhaustive account of all that went on at the inception, and subsequent events surrounding the birth of a successor to BAC's relatively successful 1-11, namely the 3-11 and it's subsequent demise due to British Government decisions, compared with the birth and subsequent success of the 3-11's competitor, the Airbus A300, supported by Franco-German political willingness. The author's Italian name belies the excellent English in which this very detailed account is written. Clearly the book is painstakingly researched, and your concentration on the facts that he has unearthed, will be rewarded!
