Product Description

Concorde is the world's most famous passenger transport aircraft and an icon of 20th century design. When British Airways and Air France withdrew their Concordes from service in 2003 it marked the end of a unique era in supersonic air travel. For this first large-format full-colour tribute to Concorde, Jonathan Falconer has scoured a wide range of private collections, company archives and media libraries in order to compile a stunning collection of colour photographs that portray Concorde from its first flights in 1969 to its swansong in 2003.

Fantastic Read5
A very pleasant read with plenty of facts and insight into Concorde, not for the hardcore aviation aficionado. Ideally suited for someone who has an interest in the only ever supersonic passenger aircraft.

I'm going to buy this book in a few days/weeks time. I saw it in a shop and the reason why I like it, is for it has photos of Concorde in construction. I'm quite sure it's the same book, enough to buy it. So I will. It's got a fair volume of photo material in, which it should have and I'm not too bothered about too much written material, although I usually find a few words of interest. It doesn't have any pictures of Air Hostess, which I wouldn't mind. I'd buy a book full of Air Hostess with smart uniform. But I like the construction side to planes. I saw the film with Halle Berry, Executive Decision and she could serve me a miniture can of Tonic Water any day. And I have a dream, to be the only passenger on board a plane to a hot destination with a nice Air Hostess. Which is an absolute fantasy we all share. If dreams came true ! And i'll still shy away. But can be talked around !
