| Inspiration and background information for my Back of Beyond range - War in Central Asia 1918-26. Some of them are pure military history (including some more general books on the RCW), others are inspiring period memoirs with a few titles that pull it all together. Peter Fleming's "The Fate of Admiral Kolchak" first got me started 30 years ago and Peter Hopkirk's "Setting the East Ablaze" is the perfect introduction to the time and place. If you're a BoB fan "Storm over Asia" is well-worth watching - for the evil British if nothing else. | ||
