Brilliantly brilliant
There's been a bit of a glut of books on copywriting recently, and the quality is patchy, to say the least. Roger's book, however, bucks the trend. It's jam-packed full of sensible, useable advice for the aspiring commercial writer and written in a perky winning style. Roger has managed to make eminent sense of a rather unpredictable line of work, and by the time you've got to the end, you'll have a clear idea of the all the dos and don'ts. I should know... I've been at it for years and feature as one of the `brilliant' copywriters interviewed in the back section.
Unquestionably brilliant copywriting
This book does just what it says on the cover explains copywriting brilliantly.
It will be my "bible" as I attempt to carve out a career in copywriting.
Thank you Roger for such a user friendly guide to what is a complex and cutthroat field.
If you only buy one manual on copywriting, I recommend BRILLIANT COPYWRITING by Roger Horberry.

I bought this book whilst on a train journey from Manchester to London, it kept me riveted both there and back!
I needed to improve my copywriting skills and thought the book was thoroughly enjoyable, informative and covered in depth the many aspects of copyrighting.....
I liked the way he took you through the process of copywriting, providing good examples and tips. Finally, experienced copyrighters were able to share their valuable experience and "copyrighting gems", via a series of interviews.
What i particulary liked is the step by step method of "creating an idea" - i never really knew there was a process you could use to actually create an idea.....its so helpful! I have become clearer on what is a compelling piece of copyrighting and enjoy using my newly developed skills.
Its great to read a book by someone who encourages self belief......... i could almost visualize roger talking to me......... which, (as i now know) is at the heart of every good piece of copyright.
I would thoroughly recommend the book and it will be an indespensible tool in helping me develop my new career!
