Good guide
A good walking guide for those new to the Brecon Beacons. Good for all, from families with young children to those without children. Walks are graded in difficulty. We went with two young children and the book was invaluable for getting straight to the best parts of the Brecon Beacons.

Nearly Perfect
I really like these books but the main problem I find with them is finding the starting point of the walk if you do not have an full size OS map (or GPS). It is not easy to identify it from the small extract of the OS map included with each walk. Each start point needs to be given a much fuller description with road names or numbers and directions. On several of the walks we tried, we had difficulty but once we found the starting point, the walks were easy to follow and informative. They are well chosen and I like the fact they are graded so you start off doing a couple of easier walks before progressing to the harder walks. Saying that, even the hardest walks were not too strenuous.
