This book is designed to make the task of estimating fabric quantities for curtains, accessories and trims easier and more accurate. The tables have been formulated as the result of our experience making bespoke soft furnishings. However, when estimating for specific designs, the quantities given may need to be adapted and so should only be used as a guide.
About the Author
Catherine Merrick & Rebecca Day run the well-known Merrick & Day curtain workroom in North Lincolnshire, making curtains for interior designers. They run regular courses on curtain making and have distilled their years of knowledge into several authoratitive books on curtains, including the curtain maker's essential companion, 'Encyclopaedia of Curtains', the stimulating 'Curtain Inspiration' and the superb 'Blinds, Curtains and Cushions'.
