The Art of The Wet Fly
If you ever thought that wet fly fishing was a chuck it and chance it method then this book will remove all those ideas. It covers all methods of wet fly fishing and the spiders that have been used for centuries by the men of the North. These were men who had to put food on the table in order to feed their families and with not much spare cash they had to develope the flies that would do the job with minimal outlay. Its a fasinating read in the " I couldn't put it down" catagory. Rodger explains the methods and reasoning of the fishing techniques and fly tying methods, the materials and more importantly which part of the bird the materials come from and why they are used. This is dry fly fishing but in three dimensions. Brilliant. Also by the same author North Country Wet Flies.
