Customer Reviews

Fabulous book - definitely recommended!5
Having just finished knitting (but not sewn together) one christmas jumper, and being part way through knitting the next, I borrowed this book from the library as I have always viewed putting garments together as the worst bit of knitting! What a difference it's made! my shoulder and sleeve joins have never looked so good, and for that reason alone I've had my own copy bought for christmas. The instructions are extremely clear, the instructions illustrate them sensibly, and though I've been knitting for 20 years I have found out more in the last week from this book than I have for years. I have got such a buzz out of finishing off a jumper and being thrilled with how professional the seams are and I can't wait to try other projects from the book. Buy it for yourself; buy it for knitting friends and relatives; have a copy available for your knitting group and revel in their thanks :)

Great reference book4
I bought this book as I borrowed a copy from the library but did not want to take it back! A good reference book, it mainly consists of clear instructions for constructing, altering and finishing your hand knits, along with designs for edgings etc. There are a just a few contemporary patterns at the back of the book for a lace-edged jumper, easy-fit sweaters, lined jacket, cardigan and bag. If there had been more patterns in the book then I would have awarded the book 5 stars.
