Contemporary pieces, satisfyingly touchy-feely!
Erkia Knight has just about every aesthetic covered in this wonderfully modern book that looks as great on a bookshelf or coffee table as it does under a mound of yarns.

From her bamboo needles to her rich cottons, she makes you want to touch and feel your way to becoming a great knitter. Long gone are the cold metal needles and the itchy acrylics and polyesters you remember from childhood. Knitting seems to be enjoying a rebirth and why not with so many wonderful and varied yarns out there.

All her patterns are easy to follow and gave me an immense amount of satisfaction from realising it was me that was doing the hard work! Once you get the hang of simple tasks it becomes quite easy to adapt her ideas to suit your own style.

I seem to keep coming back to it every few weeks with a new idea to try out. My only worry is that I'm working my way through the book too fast! I hope she'll produce similar books to build on the knowledge she's already taught.

I highly recommend this book to anyone with an interest in knitting. Even if you've never knitted before but you enjoy arts and crafts, it really is a book that will hook you in and keep you there. Her ideas fit so well within a modern home whether you prefer earthy tones and minimalism or country cottage, that you are sure to find something you'll love.

A book to be treasured.

Does What it says on the Cover!
This is a great book for people who want to knit, but are unsure how. The intructions are fairly easy to follow, but it may take a little practice. The best thing about this book is that if you don't want your introduction to knitting to be either baby clothes or scarves,there are a range of throws, cushion covers and other bits and pieces that are easy and fun to knit and look great in your house. The photography and general layout of the book means that you won't be ashamed to leave it lying on the coffee table!

A must have for Winter nights
This book really caught my attention and I didn't know why; at first.

Once you read it though you are trapped in it and your head begins to burst with creative ideas. The knits that are in it are so simple that you cannot fail. But because of there simplicity they are timeless classics and look very stylish. The book is also unique in that in the whole book there is only one jumper, and even that is worth a shot (eventually).

Certianly this book is one to fuel creativity or simply to snuggle up with on cold dark winter nights and dream about knitting cosy accessories.
