Disappointing
I bought these cards, having bought the book - and actually (almost against my will) enjoyed it. From a metaphysical point of view the book was surprisingly coherent, well-thought out and interesting.

So I bought the cards - big mistake.

The first downside - for me - is the artwork. While pretty in a bland sort of way, the colurs are insipid and the people depicted - all depressingly similar to those fine specimens of Aryan masculinity and pulchritude depected on nazi propoganada posters -di leave me a little cold.

The second and more important downside is the fact that there is little opportunity for one to 'connect' with these cards as each already has a concrete meaning printed on them. As a divinatory aid this does not help me as I prefer to become attuned to cards and build my own meaings based on this attunement, rather than stick rigidly to what the 'official' meanining is. As such I had to resort to covering up the interpretation on the cards and begin again. Maybe an accompanying booklet for the next edition?

All in all just a bit cloying, twee and limiting which is a real shame as I did really enjoy the book.
