Going for a walk in Eastern Crete
This book is great for giving you ideas for where to walk. Unfortunately, you will always get lost - so it's on a par with the Sunflower Guides because you always get lost on those too. But that's all part of the fun!!! If you've been walking on any Greek island, following a guide book, then you'll know what to expect. I think it lies when it states "exact walking routes". That does not matter but if you buy this book expecting to know exactly where you are going, then this is not the book for you. The maps are totally useless, but that may be because it has not been updated since 2004. I suppose it gives you the general direction to go in. Do not use this book if you would freak out getting lost on a hill and have no sense of direction where your car might be!!
