Triumph of a Great People
Wartime farce on a grand and bloody scale.This is a well edited and accurate account , taken from both british and german film footage. Who was busy filming it all I wonder ?.Victory for the allies couldn't have been achieved without the , strength , guts , indomitable Spirit and sacrifices of the Cretan people.It's a wonder sometimes to us that german tourists there are nowadays made so welcome.Forgotten and forgiven ?

Mountain men of Crete DVD
Really interesting information regarding the resistance movement on the Island of Crete, Greece during the Second World War during occupation by German Troops. Some interesting characters mentioned worth further investigation. Several of whom mentioned also wrote about their time and had their work published. Took a short while to arrive but well worth the wait for anyone interested in Cretan history.
