Cricket grounds from the air5
The fantastic photographs remind the reader that English cricket is a game played at magnificent modern test match venues and smaller more intimate grounds as well. Cricket fans love the statistics and trivia that the game generates, and this books does not disappoint on that front either. The book is an entertaining read both for the committed cricket fan and the more occasional observer.

Lovely lavish book5
Everything you would expect from such a book. Lovely lavish photos and descriptions and well up with the standards of the sister publications on football grounds.

If I were being ultra critical I would point out that the photos for the Castle Park ground in Colchester, the second Cheltenham ground and the second ground called Archdeacon Meadow in Gloucester (are there two with the same name or is it an annotation error?) are back to front which was slightly frustrating as I know the Colchester ground well. Also, on a more minor note the labels on the stands of the Oval diagram are the wrong way around.

However, as I say these are being ultra picky and on the whole the book does exactly what it says on the tin and is well worth it.

History comes to life5
They say a picture speaks louder than words but this book has wonderful images complemented by fantastic statistics and information about each ground. It will make a great purchase for anyone interested in cricket. The grounds have memories of classic matches and great players, and this book brings those many memories alive.
