Getting The Point Of This Game4
From the 2006 version of this game the developers were looking for things to add to the standerd gameplay and they came up with the 3D element, oviously people are going to look at the graphics and scorn because to be honest they are not that good. I feel that the detractors to the graphics son't get the point of the game which is to add a dimension to the game. It adds to the gameplay by allowing you to see the LBW decisions and the dodgey shots in more detail than the previous engine. If you are a dedicated cricket nut you will love this game but you have to relise that it does have its faults and you have to look round these and hope that the next one improves apon them

    Slightly dissapointing3
There is a lot more work to be done to make this series what it should be. For a start, how do you know the real quality of a player?? Answer; you can't, except by playing them. When signing a new youth player, how can you tell if he will be the next Andrew Flintoff or Michael Vaughan? Answer; you can't, unless you look at their 2nd XI average. Now ok, you might say `just play them and see what happens', but Mark Ramprakash has just plundered over 2,000 runs this season, yet averages about 30 at test level whereas Marcus Trescothick got into the England team on potential not stats. This game needs more depth to put it as simply as possible. You should be able to look at players stats from their WHOLE careers, not just the previous two years, and the tactics should be a lot more testing than what they are. All said and done, it is a slight improvement, but still a long way to go. Its a good game, but should be better

    Poor Gameplay3
I don't know where the people are coming from who say the gameplay is excellent, as far as I'm concerned it is the worst part of the game. It's impossible to set a field to save the ones, the batsmen just take easy singles no matter where you have your fielders. I haven't seen any sixes in the game not even in One Day International matches. Every run out I have seen as been the result of a direct hit, none taken by the keeper.

This game really needs a lot of work in the gameplay area to make it a half decent cricket simulation.
