Spine Tingling
This is a book guaranteed to send a shiver down your spine. This book takes a little bit of time and patience to get into but once the action begins I couldn't put it down. This book contains a lot of bad language and some sex scenes that are quite frankly... disgusting, but this adds to the tension as sex and food are joined together in a strange mix.
The story is based around a diet clinic who offer no quibble easy weight loss, with one pill to start losing weight and one pill to stop it. But, as you would expect in any Torchwood storyline, there are added complications the subject will become hungrier and hungrier. As their appetite grows, so does the food they eat, from pizzas to pigeons, to their friends, to themselves, the victims slowly decay and become more ravenous. The Torchwood team race to discover what this could be to do with a mood transmitting device and save the lives of the ravenous victims. Unfortunately one of these victims is Reece.
Have I told you about Doctor Scotus?
Torchwood is one of the best TV series created, and has a nice range of books based on the series to read. If you are looking for one, pick Slow Decay.
Slow Decay is a great book about a clinic with a man called Doctor Scotus, who promises that you will lose height, if you take his pills. I won't go any pass that, just so I don't spoill it.
It also features an alien device that Tosh works on thoughtout the book.
The book may have the worst blurb on the back than all the other books, but it is still one of the best.
Its Dark, Sexy, and awesome!
A must buy for any fan.
Feed My Frankenstein
There is a new pill on the market in Cardiff that is guaranteed to make you lose weight. Take the start pill and once you have lost the desired weight just take the stop pill - easy. That is unless you wait too long and the hunger takes control of you. Captain Jack and co. are on the case when they stumble across the body of a creature seemingly attacked by a ravenous human. Can they stop the hunger from spreading?
Being a fan of the Doctor Who novels I felt giving Torchwood a chance would be a good idea. Having never seen the show I came to the book with fresh eyes. On a positive note the book is a solid piece of B movie like science fiction filling itself with plenty of thrilling moments and a few naughty ones. However, the book used a very tired plot that was similar to many other science fiction stories over the years. Coupled to this was the fact that I did not particularly like any of the characters as their flaws made them unappealing. Despite this it was still a fun read that rattled along to a good conclusion.
