Strong link, average stories
In this 12th Doctor Who anthology the 8th Doctor gets his revenge on a group of manipulative voyeurs by showing them the following tales based around the 'seven sins':
In 'The Duke's Folly' the 1st Doctor, Ian, Barbara and Susan take a hand in bringing up a lazy young Duke; in 'That Which Went Away' the 2nd Doctor, Zoe and Jamie come up against some shape-changing barbarians; in 'Angel' the 3rd Doctor and Jo encounter a dying woman with a bizarre illness; in 'Envy' the 4th Doctor, Romana, K-9, Harry and Sarah investigate erotic 'Doctor-bots'; in 'The 57th' the 5th Doctor and Nyssa attempt to unravel the mystery of a duplicated scientist; in 'Telling Tales' the 6th Doctor and Peri first encounter the linking backstory's voyeurs; and in 'Too Rich For My Blood' the 7th Doctor, Cwej and Bernice come up against aliens in Las Vegas.
Seven Deadly Sins has a very strong backstory thanks to its ongoing linking story, but ultimately the actual 7 stories that make up the anthology are fairly average - there's no outstanding moments of brilliance, but nor are there any real misfires. A reasonable collection.
