Poor link good stories
Big Finish's 13th Doctor Who anthology has a rather clumsy linking device, but in terms of the actual short stories this is one of their better efforts.
Highlights include a bizarre poem where the Peter Cushing movie Doctor is under threat from a shadow number; the 5th Doctor and Peri's disastrous impact on the life of a microscopic lifeform that lives it's entire life in one day; the 3rd Doctor and Jo battling hilarious Kobolds and in the process losing the ability to utter certain vowels; and the 1st Doctor and Steven going undercover in a delicate peace negotiation treaty.
Other stories include Jamie and Zoe picking up a mysterious hitchhiker in the TARDIS when the 2nd Doctor vanishes; the 4th Doctor and Leela delivering a letter to a stranded alien exiled on Earth; the 7th Doctor, Ace and Hex getting trapped in a strange fake London; the 7th and 8th Doctor's clashing over their methods to topple a megalomaniac; the 1st Doctor and Steven trying to interfere in the timeline of a woman who's wasted her life waiting for her missing lover; the 5th Doctor and Turlough on the run with a valuable alien necklace; the 7th Doctor and Benny foiling a plot by terrorists who generate an artificial storm; the 4th Doctor, Sarah and Harry take over a families TV to foil the latest alien invasion; the 6th Doctor and UNIT fighting a sentient darkness; and the 2nd Doctor attempting to rescue Jamie from a strange purgatorial mindscape.
The only real disasters are a tale featuring the 6th Doctor battling rock album covers come to life; and the clumsy linking story featuring the 8th Doctor, Charley and C'Rizz setting up a time-loop.
