Don't know where to go? - essential reading5
Having not been skiing for a number of years I wanted to get the latest up-to-date information to ensure I picked the most suitable resort for our needs.
This book is so easy to use. It has a section for each individual resort that tells you, honestly, the plus and minus points, the details that holiday brochures won't mention and things to look out for - often based on reports that readers send in on the resorts they have visited.
There is a quick-view table giving star ratings for various features such as 'queues', 'snow', 'extent'so you can easily compare the scores for different resorts
You can write down a 'wishlist' for your ideal resort and use the 'resort shortlists' to help you spot resorts that will suit you.
This book will come out every year from now on before I even lift a holiday brochure!

Don't book your ski holiday without looking at this book!5
Really useful guide ~ it gives lots of information on all aspects of the resort and slopes; both good and bad, in a very logical and well laid out format. I have used it for my last 3 ski holidays and have found the info spot on. It also includes comments that other readers have sent in which adds to the breadth of information.

Highly informative, well presented, reader friendly reviews5
This book is an up to date, extremely comprehensive, independent and well informed guide to the worlds ski resorts.

The guide is absolutely packed with useful information about all the major resorts in the world - the good things and (importantly)the not-so-good things about them. The reviews include detailed assessments of resorts, staying there and nightlife, the mountains, slopes, snow and resort extent, lifts and queues, skiing available for beginners, intermediates and experts, mountain restaurants, scenery and resort charm amongst others.

A starred ratings guide provides an 'at a glance' summary and each resort guide includes piste maps, lift pass prices, ski school reviews and contact details, number of lifts, how to get there, off mountain activitites, news of new lifts and changes in resort and more!!!

All of this is presented in an easy to read and clear way. The editors opinions and feedback from other readers are interspersed throughout giving a real feel of what a visitor will find if they go to the resort. It is also useful for both skiers and snowboarders providing reviews of how snowboarders are welcomed, where to find terrain parks and the best off piste in resort.

The guide reviews all the countries in the world where you can ski and snowboard including France, Italy, Switzerland, USA, Canada, Austria, Andorra but also provides summaries on Spain, Norway, Finland, Bulgaria etc...

The difference between this book and other similar guides is the attention to detail and that all aspects of a visit to a resort are covered - no aspect of a snow holiday is neglected. The ratings system and the verdicts on all resorts are simply the most comprehensive available today.

In short this is all the information that anyone needs, whether highly experienced or coming to snowsports for the first time. I have used this guide for the last 5 years and it gets better and better and would not hesitate to recommend it.
