Product Description

Zak the Zebra has trouble paying attention and fidgets a lot, especially when he goes on a school trip with the rest of his class to a local art gallery. Dr Spot suspects ADHD, and shows young Zak how to control his symptoms. "The Dr Spot's Casebook" series of children's picture books uses stories featuring young animals to teach children (and their families and friends) about common childhood problems, illnesses and conditions. The stories describe symptoms, and explain what can be done to alleviate or cure them. Special parents' pages at the back of each book tell parents what they can do themselves, and, in the case of medical problems, give advice on when to call in a doctor for further treatment. Features: aimed at 3 - 7 yr olds; appeals to all children, well and ill; experienced author; great stories and illustrations; information and advice for parents. It is a large and a growing series.

Customer Reviews

a dr. spot casebook zak has adhd5
great story, helping kids understand how they are unable to sit still, and how other kids see them,

The best ADHD children's book I've found5
This is a lovely book, which my children clamour for. Zak is a very compelling character, and the detailed information about ADHD is cleverly sneaked into a funny and beautifully illustrated story.
