'"LAURA"THELIFE OF LAURA INGALLS WILDER
I really enjoyed reading this biography of Laura's life and the many houses that she and her family lived in. The book made me feel that I was
in the houses living with her and her family, well illustrated and the
photo's were very good. I have only got into reading the little house
books over one year but I really enjoy them. From a new found fan of Laura's.
Great information
I really enjoyed this book, but I think I will have to read it more than once to absorb the information. I think the photos are great, it really helps to visualise what they looked like, and to know that I saw Pa quite well, thanks to the descriptions in the books.
Well worth a read.
Those who love Laura will love this book.
When my grandmother began reading the "Little House" books to me when I was 8 I don't think she had any idea what she was starting. Until I read "Laura:The Life of Laura Ingalls Wilder" I could only imagine what Laura, her family, and the other characters from her books were like, how they effected each other and even how they looked. It was so exciting for me to open the pages of this book and see for the first time the beautiful young woman I had come to know through the years. Donald Zochert's research and care are evident on every page. He transports us into Laura's world and gives us even more details of her fascinating life.
