Acid Alkaline explaned reasonably - at last4
I am somewhat sceptical about the acid/alkaline theory, partly because I didn't find the various proponents convincing and partly because they do not agree with each other about which foods cause acidity or alkalinity. However, because all of them lead to advocating a style of eating that more or less agrees with other theories - high vegetable & fruit intake, modicums of protein, little carbs - I found it plausible.

This book, for the first time for me, gives a reasonably scientific basis (without being dogmatic) for the whole idea. And so I am more convinced, enough to be now following it more strictly - with measurable results.
