About the Author
Jane Harrop started making miniatures as a hobby 13 years ago and has been teaching adult education classes on making miniatures for the past nine years. This is her first book for GMC Publications, but she is the author of two books published by David & Charles in a 'Dolls House Do-it-Yourself' series: Toys and Games (2003) and Finishing Touches (2004). Jane lives in Cheshire.

Fabulous book for miniaturists
Anyone who has come across Jane Harrop will know her brilliant attention to detail and this book more than lives up to her fine reputation. Lots of projects to make with clear photos and instructions plus a little background history to life in 1930/40's. I can't recommend this book enough - buy one today.

Essential for miniaturists
I buy a lot of books and most are ok. This is brilliant. Lots of professional looking projects for all abilities and all clearly labelled beginner, advanced etc. Lists of stockists in UK and abroad if you don't have the materials required and all written in good plain English with clear pictures and drawings. Wish I'd bought it sooner.

This is a very helpful & useful book with lots of plans for making dollshouse miniatures. Some 30s & 40s items are very difficult to find ready made, so if you are handy at making things this is a book for you. The instructions are very clear.
