Customer Reviews
Excellent for people at a life/career crossroads
Practical book that leads you step-by-step through the process of examining your values, interests and skills. It is easy to follow and provides lots of useful information and thinking points to help you really consider your options.
It would take over 40 hours to work through everything so take it chapter/chunk at a time and for maximum benefit, discuss your findings with a friend/coach to make sure you really take on board the key messages.
Helps you figure out what you want
There are lots of books which help you get the job that you want, but there are very few that help you figure out what you want in the first place.
This book has guided several people that I know through their midlife crisis by helping them identify what sort of a job they would find more satisfying than whatever it is they are currently doing.
The structured exercises force you to examine every aspect of your life including what you enjoy, what you're good at, what you spend your time on etc. If you put in the time and effort you will end up with both a reasonable idea of what you want and some idea of how to get it.
Practical, Useable, Action Oriented
If you're looking to make changes to your career and are prepared to put in the necessary time and effort, this book will really help make things happen.
Follows a structured 6-stage process to help clarify where you are now, where you want to get to and how to get there.
