Boring2
As a software designer, I purchased this very expensive book in order to understand how the data on a DVD is layed out (file structure, content etc).
However, this book is a book of extremes, with nothing in the middle. What I mean by this is that there is half a book dedicated to the hardware technology of burning pits into the dvd media (uninteresting to anyone that isnt designing DVD burner hardware) and half a book appraising companies that offer DVD authoring services (only of interest to film producers). Where's the essential in-depth info on VOB, BUP and IFO files (2 pages out of 480) and how do you construct a DVD image ready to burn ??
Certainly not a book for anyone interested in the practical aspects of DVD creation from a software perspective.
