No nonsense and detailed
This was very comprehensive and covered very well the particular styles of fishing.
I like starting at the beginning with the natural history and then progressing through tying, leader make up, reading the water and then 'going fishing'.
From a selfish point of view, I tend to fast forward through the tying as its not something I practice, but can I fault the DVD for including it ? Not really, because the flies are much more intricate than I've seen in a typical shop and it does form a natural link in the story of observation leading to catching more fish.
The style of presentation also appeals as Oliver Edwards clearly knows how to fish and has spent a lot of time thinking about it, but he comes across as a true enthusiast with little to prove to camera. Consequently the focus is on what is being said and done.
This is a long way from 'chuck it and chance it'.

The complete (Fly) Angler
A beautiful product.
The careful presentation, devotion to detail and true love of the subject comes across 100%.
By absorbing each lesson and applying the time i have elevated my enjoyment and success rate of fly fishing beyond recognition.
Using Mr Edwards rycophilia/chezch nymphs I had grayling and trout crawling up my rod for 3 days straight on a recent visit to the welsh dee! It feels good when people start to ask you what the going fly is!
