very good
I had been using a generic card reader to write to my Kingston SD card and was having some problems with writing files -- often the process would fail halfway through for no apparent reason. Therefore I bought this card reader as a replacement and I can report that I now have no such problems. There's not much else to say about this card reader -- it is plug and play so works for me on Windows and Linux (the Windows software supplied with the reader is an optional extra if you want customised icons in Windows Explorer for different card types). The LED on the card is a constant green when ready and alternates between green and orange when writing to a card, not particularly useful but maybe something to look at. I've successfully used my model (part 20-90-03105) with a 2GB SD card. Considering the issues I had with a cheap generic reader, it's worth spending a few pounds more on one from a known and respected brand.

Excellent value and performance
This smart and compact card reader does exactly what you'd expect for a very good price. SDCard performance is excellent (tested with a Sandisk 1GB card), as is xD-Picture card performance (tested with a 128MB Fujifilm card) and Sony Memory Stick Duo (tested with a 128MB card). It supports all the major card formats so there's no point looking for one of those readers that supports 10 other obscure formats by sacrificing size, looks and performance.

It's definitely plug-and-play on Windows XP (no drivers/software required) although software is provided to activate the button on top.

Very nice little product which makes life much easier.

Super easy
Great, simple flash card connector. Set itself up in 1 minute. I've had it now for over a year and it works perfectly, only wish it would accept other types of cards as well.
