Good Camera for those who just want to take basic photos
I bought this camera to take on holiday travelling around in China. For what I wanted it was a brilliant camera, the 'auto' mode covers most pictures so I could just point and press most of the time. However if you want to take more specialist pictures the 'manual' mode is easy to use, having left the manual at home I managed to work it out in around 10 minutes. I didn't have any battery problems, I was using Ni-mh batteries but I'm not sure how much of a difference that makes. The picture quality is also excellent, however it does need to be held still - moving shots aren't great quality. On balance - a great camera for amateur use.
Nice camera. Good battery life.
I love this camera. I always get great pictures, and the macro mode is pin sharp for close ups. I've never had any problems with battery life when i use Uniross Hybrio (Ni-Mh) rechargeable batteries, and i get around 100 - 120 shots before a recharge. If you use normal alcaline (Duracell Ect.) batteries then expect to have to carry a bag of them, because they just don't last (about 15 - 20 pics with normal use), this is typical of digital cameras.
Lovely Phone shame about the battery
I concur with those who have battery problems. I manage about 10 pictures before they die. Nightmare. Have just bought Ni-Mh AA Batteries from Amazon as per a tip on this page.
