A 'must have' CD!4
This is a wonderful collection of songs with a strong baladi content - many of them composed or arranged by Farouk Salama. Amani (the Lebanese dance star on the cover) certainly knows how to pick them! Unlike volume 1 this album has a strong Egyptian feel to it and it contains one of the best ever arrangements of Ala Rimsh Ayounha around. I was a bit disappointed by the drum solo but that's a minor quibble. As a dance teacher I regularly recommend this to my students. In fact I recommend this and volume one for completeness. Buy it and you won't be disappointed!
