An amazing display of bellydancing
I recently saw the show and just had to buy the DVD to watch it again and again. The Bellydance Superstars are fantastic performers and every act (except the odd one or two, i.e.the Marilyn bit - I expect its entertaining if you were there at the time!) is outstanding. Petit Jamillia and her double veil act is one of the highlights, as is the Entrance of the Stars. The Tribal dancers (with their amazing industrial/gothic clothing) have such control over their movements and the choice of music throughout the show fits each dance and performer perfectly and is fantastic just to listen to as well. I love it!

Not what I expected
This DVD was not what I expected. I got the impression from the cover that it would be something more in the line of stage show with a variety of presentations. What you see is 1 dancer at a time, each performing 1 or 2 dances on their own in what looks like a large studio or stage with a few rugs thrown down. You do not even see the entrace of the dancers, the videos just cut straight to an early stage of the dances. Although the dancers themselves are good, it is a very repetitive and boring DVD because of the unchanging format and lack of variety. The Monroe 'take-off' is the only real change and sadly it is just awful. One plus point is the inclusion of an 'extra' cd which has tracks of bellydancing music. Unless you study ultra fine details of this type of dance, this may not be the DVD for you.

Fantastic Performances
I bought this dvd not knowing what to expect. I was very pleasantly suprised. All of the performances were of very high quality (apart from Marilyn). The dancers performed different styles of belly dance, some using props. Petit Jamilla's performance with two veils is immaculate, Jillina's drum solo is unbelievable and the tribal dancers performed with incredible precision. My favourite performer is Ansuya, who always delivers the highest quality performance (in my eyes). I find this dvd motivational and entertaining.
