Customer Reviews

Pleasantly Parisien4
After, in my opinion, a couple of weaker entries in the Hotel Costes collection, this strong release is a particularly atmospheric piece from Mr Pompougnac. Little White Roses by Paul & Price is a particularly lovely tune along with Gotan Project's Differente, which appears to take its cues from Ennio Morricone's Frantic soundtrack. Definately recommended if you have enjoyed the early Costes albums.

Masterpiece5
As always Stephane Pompougnac does it again. Masterfully mixed and compiled, one of the best in the series, if not the best. I especially like Gotan Project's 'Diferente', Parov Stelar of course with his nostalgic jazzy mix (a classic theme now in the series) and 'Free for All' - wow what a powerful upbeat song... A very sophisticated and complete album.
Highly Recommended

One of the best Costes!!5
I wasn't too optimistic about loving this in the same way I loved the earlier albums in the series. But I needn't have worried. This is definitely one of the very best in the series. Pompougnac has returned to his roots and produced an absolute gem of a compilation. Almost every track is brilliant with the balance of soulful and chic just about perfect. Vive la renaissance!!
